Emergency tips

OUR READINESS

The EEPF is ready to respond to any large-scale emergency, such as wildfires, major road closures, or other critical incidents affecting our communities. In such situations, we ask all residents to monitor local media and official communication channels for instructions and updates.

YOUR PREPAREDNESS

Every household should take steps to be prepared for unexpected events. Keep an emergency kit with essentials such as water, non-perishable food, flashlights, batteries, and basic medical supplies. Make a family plan that includes safe meeting points and ways to stay in touch if communication is disrupted. Stay informed about potential risks in your area and review your plan regularly.

Road safety

The EEPF is mandated to enforce the Québec Highway Safety Code throughout our territory. Regular traffic enforcement operations are conducted across all communities to ensure compliance with road safety laws.

Roadside sobriety checkpoints are carried out on a regular basis to combat impaired driving and help keep our roads safe. The EEPF also conducts joint operations with partners such as the Sûreté du Québec and Contrôle routier Québec to strengthen enforcement and promote road safety.

We encourage residents to contact their local police station if targeted interventions are needed to address specific problem behaviours, such as speeding in school zones or other vulnerable areas. Your information helps us focus our efforts where they are most needed.
