Chisasibi, Qc – August 15, 2025 – Members of the Eeyou Eenou Police Force of the Chisasibi detachment along with officers of the Sûreté du Québec found and seized a significant amount of alcohol during standard road and traffic operations on August 14th, 2025. From 5 separate vehicles, officers seized: 382 units of £ 8% alc./vol; 8 units of £ 35% alc./vol; 55 units of 40% alc./vol.
The approximate total street value of this seizure is of $5915.00.
We would also like to remind community members and residents that EEPF works with local by-laws. Residents that do not respect their local by-laws will be fined by way of receiving a ticket or by summons to court.
